Boston Women's Rugby is committed to volunteering in our community. Over the past year we have contributed our time, effort, and sometimes money to various volunteering opportunities.
We have become involved in Special Olympics, The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Habitat for Humanity, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Oxfam America, youth rugby, women's college rugby, and an orphanage in Afghanistan.
BWRFC recognizes the importance of being involved in the community.

12/2005 Christmas Caroling
For over a decade, current BWRFC players and alums have gathered every December at the Vernon Hall Nursing Home in Cambridge to spread holiday cheer. Led by alum Ellen Kearns, the group performs a program of popular Christmas carols and holiday readings to the delight of the elderly residents of Vernon Hall. The carolers make their way throughout the nursing home, singing in every corner of the building and taking requests from the residents. The annual Christmas caroling event is a wonderful tradition that connects generations of BWRFC members, and furthers the team's mission to give back to our community.
