Via public transportation, take the Red Line of the MBTA to Central Square. When you come out of the T station, you will be in front of either a Starbucks or will be across the street from Pearl Art Supply, Wild Harvest, and a Blockbuster Video. If you come out of the T and are facing the Starbucks, go to your left down Mass Ave. for 1 1/2 blocks. The Phoenix will be on the other side of Mass Ave. If you come out of the T across the street from Pearl Art Supply, head to your left down Mass Ave. The Phoenix is about a block down the street next to Burger King.

From north or south of Boston, take 93 either North or South, depending upon your starting location, to the Storrow Drive exit off of 93. Follow Storrow Drive to the Mass Ave. exit. Take a right off the exit onto Mass Ave. Follow Mass Ave. about 3/4 mile to Central Square. You will go by a Budget Rental Center and a McDonalds. The Phoenix is just past the McDonalds on the opposite side of the street next to Burger King. There is public parking behind Blockbuster and behind and to the right of McDonalds - but one way streets make getting there a bit tricky.

From the Mass Pike, take the Cambridge exit. The exit will take you to a series of traffic lights and over the River Street Bridge. Keep going straight, and you will be on River Street. Follow River Street for about 1/2 mile. It will take you to the intersection of River Street and Mass Ave (there will be a Starbucks on the one corner).
