The Road to 7s Nationals 2019 / by Allie Brouckman

We had a great turn out this summer and often were able to enter 3 different sides into the tournaments. By the end of the summer, Boston Women’s Rugby Football Club (BWRFC) finished 2nd in the Northeast series and qualified for USA Rugby Club 7s Nationals for the 4th time over the last 5 years.

Boston’s NERFU side went 2-2 on the day, falling just short in a tough semi-final against a talented New York side. Boston’s Northeast side took 2nd on the day earning an official qualification to the 2019 Club 7’s Nationals in Kansas City! The team traveled to Kansas City to represent the Northeast and compete for a national title on August 10th and 11th, 2019.

Our high school summer program, coached by Julie “JuJu” Dimitra and Katie Tonka, earned #1 at the Bay State games!
